Frustrated with the COVID 19 restrictions on the public’s freedom and rights which were affecting his family, John started writing a poem from the viewpoint of a sixteen year old seeing what was happening. He then realised that the poem could be made into a song. His drumline background influenced the song’s unique drumming backing on a marching snare. Based on the Gold Coast, Australia, John has been active in the traditional band music scene all his life in Australia and overseas. He has become more-aware about people’s rights and freedoms over the years. The COVID saga influenced him to take some action in an effort to illustrate to the public how they are gradually being treated like sheep and dis-empowered. YouTube link.
