Turncoat trio of Republican senators may block Trump agenda – www.cairnsnews.org

Senator John Thune … blue-tie establishment pick?

By MICHAEL SLOVANOS

TRUMP’S radical agenda faces a possible blockage in the Senate from two or possibly three Republicans, including the new Senate Leader John Thune.

If these three defect on votes their 53-50 Senate majority disappears.

The other openly turncoat Republican Senators are Susan Collins from the notoriously “liberal” state of Maine and Lisa Murkowski from Alaska.

Murkowski was one of seven “moderate” Republican senators who voted to convict Trump in his second impeachment trial in February 2021, based on the phony “instigation of insurrection” charges after the FBI and other players ran a false flag riot at the US Congress on January 6th.

After her vote, Alaska’s Republican party censured Murkowski and demanded her resignation. Trump had pledged to back her opponent for preselection in 2022 but despite this, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell backed Murkowski’s campaign. McConnell leans their way.

Collins is ranked “the most liberal Republican” with Murkowski coming in at 2nd place. Apart from their voting record, both are pro-abortion, making them darlings of the Democrat political and media establishment.

Collins votes ABOUT 60% of the time with the Democrats according to vote watchers. In other words she is a reliable vote for the Democrat Party and it’s agenda. It’s one thing to be an independent politician but it’s another thing to be a turncoat. She insists her politics are “centrist”.

Perhaps Collins’ alliance with “progressivism” has got something to do with the Collins name, said to be associated with “Illluminist” circles. But listening to Collins talk is like listening to a small-town mum, so high-falutin occultic sophistication doesn’t appear evident.

Her stated religious affiliation is Catholic and her family is definitely North Eastern old money (the timber trade) and five generations holding positions in the State Legislature.

Murkowski also claims to be independent, after her historic “write in” victory at her last Senate election. She was rejected by Republicans in favour of a “Tea Party candidate” but won the election by having her supporters write her name on voting ballots.

Murkowski also sees herself as a “centrist” but like Collins, doesn’t get the revolutionary nature of Trump’s America first campaign and admits that she “is not afraid of compromise”.

The new Senate Majority Leader John Thune is also not a Trump backer, but claims he will work with him to get his leadership team appointments approved. However Thune is said to be “an institutionalist who prizes the Senate’s ability to check the executive branch”, which is all very well but also the type of politician that the entrenched deep state can groom to “keep things in order” and radicals like Trump in check.

Like Collins and Murkowski, Thune was another one of those Republicans who saw nothing strange in the claim that Biden won the 2020 election with the “biggest turnout in history”. Some claim about 10 million fewer voted for Kamala Harris, although that figure is contested by fact checkers.

Biden barely campaigned in that election, running pathetic, socially-distanced rallies that struggled to attract a few thousand people.

The election fraud deniers also turned a blind eye to the late-night vote dumps that suddenly reversed Trump’s lead in a number of critical swing states like Michigan and Wisconsin. But with heightened fraud watching operating in the 2024 election, Trump came back to sweep these same states with a clear majority.
