‘Going into Sainsbury’s is dangerous’ cry shoppers as they scramble to get their hands on perfect spring lace skirt

BOHO is set to be a huge trend this year, with pieces already popping up all over the high street.

The floaty, patterned look has also made a big return to the catwalk at brands like Chloe.

But if you’re looking to get in on the trend without breaking the bank on designer buys, you’ve come to the right place.

A popular supermarket has upped its game with a brand new lace maxi skirt that fits the boho brief perfectly.

Tu Clothing is the in-house fashion label at Sainsbury’s and is renowned for its stylish buys at affordable prices.

Shoppers have already praised a new SS25 floral maxi dress as “boho vibes”.

And now it’s a cream lace maxi skirt that’s caught their attention.

The skirt, available in sizes six to 24, is priced at £28 and is perfect for the warmer weather.

Describing the item on the website, the Tu Clothing team say: “Add boho-style to your wardrobe with our cream skirt.

“Cut to maxi length, it has been designed in a detailed lace fabric and includes a layer underneath. Finished with an elasticated waistband.

“A chic staple for your spring/summer collection.”

Styling it with a dark blue denim shirt after picking it up, plus-sized fashionista Laura Adlington gushed: “Boho is back! And Tu Clothing has the perfect pieces ready to add to your spring/summer wardrobe.

Shoppers are delighted Tesco’s 25% off sale has started in their clothes department – but there’s only a few days left

“Tu are absolutely smashing it atm”, echoed someone else.

A third chimed in: “Honestly cannot rate Tu Clothing enough right now! Going into Sainsbury’s is dangerous!

A fourth said: “I have the lace skirt and love it.”

A fifth added: “Ooo this skirt! I saw a similar one in M&S but like this one with the denim!”

Meanwhile, a sixth cried: “That lace skirt omg need asap.”

The Noughties were the era of boho queens including Nicole Richie, the Olsen twins, and The OC’s Mischa Barton, when Topshop had its heyday and models Kate Moss and Alexa Chung were the denim-shorts-and-waistcoat-wearing pinnacles of free-spirited fashion.

And now, boho is back, with designers including Chloe sending models down the runway in billowing dresses and excess tassels, with modern-day It Girls Emily Ratajkowski and Bella Hadid jumping on the throwback trend.

But Boho 2.0 is undoubtedly a more modern, paired-back and grown-up take on the original look.

It’s all about taking elements of boho style and making it work with what we have already, rather than dressing from head to toe in it.

Think less busy prints and a more restrained colour palette — with not as much bright reds and purples.

And opt for just one or two textures — suede, sheer fabrics, ruffles, frills — to avoid looking more eccentric granny than bohemian babe.
