Over 200 pieces from Diana, Princess of Wales’s personal collection are set to be auctioned, providing “a window into a moment in history”. The assortment is a highlight of Julien’s Auctions’ event named Princess Diana’s Style & A Royal Collection, will take place later this summer.
The bidding kicks off on May 20, presenting a variety of the late princess’s clothing as part of an effort to celebrate her iconic fashion sense and to continue her enduring legacy.

“This collection is the most significant offering of her wardrobe ever presented at auction, each item a window into a moment in history and a tribute to a woman whose humility and style and personal warmth continues to inspire the world.”
The auction will also feature a series of garments and artefacts from the annals of British Royal history, including contributions from illustrious figures including the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, Queen Elizabeth II, and the Queen Mother, with some items dating back to the 19th century.
Previously, Julien’s Auctions has notably sold one of Diana’s dresses for a staggering 1.14 million US dollars (£889,000) and in 2024, a pair of her shoes fetched an impressive sum of 390,000 US dollars (£304,000).
Before the highly anticipated sale, the Museum of Pop Culture (Mopop) is set to host an exhibit allowing the public to view the items headed for auction in a newly minted partnership with Julien’s Auctions.
Michele Y Smith, Mopop’s chief executive, articulated her enthusiasm: “This collection celebrates Princess Diana’s enduring influence as a cultural and fashion icon. Her style, grace, and humanitarian spirit continue to resonate across generations.”
Furthermore, fans will have the opportunity to view the collection at The Museum of Style Icons (Mosi) located in Newbridge, Ireland, from mid May until mid June 2025.
Diana’s memorabilia will not only be treasured by avid collectors but will also serve a noble cause, as a segment of the proceeds is earmarked for Muscular Dystrophy UK. The hammer is set to fall on Thursday June 26 at 10:00am Pacific Time at The Peninsula Beverly Hills where the auction will take place.
