A man has been charged in connection with the death of a 55-year-old at a property in in Glasgow.
James Jarvis was found dead at a house on Monar Street in the Hamiltonhill area of the city on Wednesday, March 5, at around 9.20am.
Cops have now arrested and charged a 38-year-old man and he is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, March 10.
Detectives are now working to piece together James’ movements leading up to his death and have asked members of the public with any information to come forward.
Officers revealed that his black VW Golf was also found half a mile away on Auckland Street at 7.20am on Wednesday morning.
Images taken at the scene on Friday morning show forensic officers in white suits, gloves and masks scouring the driveway of the property where James’ body was discovered.
A cordon has been erected around the house and uniformed police officer was seen on guard outside.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of James Jarvis in Glasgow.
“Around 9.20am on Wednesday, 5 March, 2025, officers attended at an address in Monar Street and found the body of the 55-year-old. “The 38-year-old man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, 10 March, 2025. “A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
