A 34-year-old woman has been killed in a tragic car accident on a beach north of Wedge Island, in Western Australia.

Emergency services responded to reports of the single-vehicle crash 160km north of Perth at about 7pm on Thursday evening.

The woman, believed to be the driver of the vehicle, was declared dead at the scene with two passengers, including a teenager, taken to hospital in an unknown condition.

Police are urging anyone with information on the crash to contact Crime Stoppers.
